Planning Assistant

Alex started his planning career in 2025 and is currently studying for a master’s degree in Town Planning at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford. He has a keen interest in residential, commercial, and mixed-use development, as well as local and national policy. Alex enjoys problem solving and engaging with stakeholders to build and manage relationships.

Alex holds a degree in International Development Studies from the University of East Anglia and has studied in the Netherlands at VU Amsterdam, where he focused on topics such as globalisation, urbanisation, and political economy. From studying abroad, Alex gained awareness of the exceptional Dutch cycle infrastructure and thus developed an interest and enthusiasm for sustainable transport, consequently creating an organisation to advocate for, and educate on the benefits of, cycle lanes here in England.

Beyond planning, Alex has a passion for the outdoors. He enjoys hiking, water sports, and camping in Wales and Scotland and is qualified to operate powered watercraft.
